Introduction

Founded in 2015 by Kentaro Eguchi, eguchitoys is rooted in the Montessori belief that children are innately motivated to learn — a philosophy of early childhood education developed by Italian physician Maria Montessori and supported by a strong body of scientific research.
Our products are designed to empower a child's natural curiosity and grow with them. We believe good toys must meet children where they are: supporting muscle and motor development, sized for small bodies, and matched to what children are naturally curious about at each stage of their growth. That's why our range includes toys that build hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills alongside child-sized furniture, and other everyday objects that let children experience real tasks and learn through play.

Founder & Designer

KENTARO EGUCHI

Combining a Montessori teaching qualification with a Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York, Kentaro Eguchi (Ken) brings a fresh perspective to Montessori toy design.
After founding Ivy's House Montessori Kindergarten in Taipei in 1997, Ken began designing Montessori teaching materials in 2016. Joined by talented designers, carpenters, and preschool educators, eguchitoys has since grown into the market leader in Taiwan and one of the leading Montessori toy suppliers worldwide.

Every product is guided by the Montessori principle that children are innately motivated to learn — an approach backed by decades of scientific research in child development. Each item is handcrafted to offer engaging, age-appropriate challenges that support cognitive, social, and emotional development. Suitable for infants through preschoolers, eguchitoys products are at home in Montessori schools, daycare centers, and family homes alike.
